So, without consulting with his wife, he decided to make it official and start snowplowing business. He spent $2,000 on a snowplow attachment for his truck. And he spent an additional $3,000 on flyers and ads to market his business.

When OP’s wife found out, she was furious for spending that money and especially not talking about it with her. However, OP says he was able to calm her down and explain his calculations to her. And, once she understood they could make a profit, OP said she was less mad.
