  1. Thank you for this detailed review, Stephan.

A few years back when I got started in affiliate marketing, I would have considered using BlogPress. Right now, I think there are far better options.

I like that they offer training, but their hosting options are not encouraging. Additionally, it can get really expensive if you don’t make enough money during your first one to two years. If I had to choose between BlogPress and Wealthy Affiliate, I would go with Wealthy Affiliate without blinking.

  2. This is a great review that lays out the good and the bad of BlogPress. After much research, I joined WA a couple of months ago and the training has been amazing! Even though other companies offered some similar aspects, WA has truly come through with the support side of it. It’s always good to check out all your options and see what is out there. I had no experience with computers or websites but WA helped walked me through it all. Thank you for this thorough review and laying everything out there clear and concise.

This is very interesting.  I’ve never heard of BlogPress before.

It looks like it helps out would-be-bloggers very nicely, especially those who want to start writing, but have no idea how to start up their own blog to make money from.

I have to admit that doing everything myself, or at least trying to, is hard work. There are a million-and-one things I have to see to and learn about, and when those are sorted out as best as I can, I’ll then have to find the time to actually write… not an easy life at all.

On top of all that, I have a full-time job, a family, and I need to sleep for a bit.

It sounds like BlogPress is ideal for anybody starting up…and the services offered, which includes the training and hosting, aren’t expensive as a whole, at least to start off with.

    Best regards,

Thanks for sharing this post, I found it very useful and full of great information. I will bookmark this great reference and refer back to it often. Blogs seem to be all the rage now. I already started one myself and love the whole process of learning and sharing experiences.

  5. BlogPress sounds like it could be a good option for getting started with blogging, but the additional cost for training sounds like a lot, though I guess if it’s customized for you, it might justify some of the cost. I clicked through to your alternative training platform and that one sounds far superior!

  6. Hi this is very helpful and I am sure I will be looking at this in more detail in the future. I am happy at WealthyAffiliate for my hosting and coaching for affiliate marketing so have no need right now to think about going elsewhere at present. Thank you for the information though and keep up the great work.

  7. If the online arena is something you’re looking to conquer, the basic BlogPress hosting plan for $14.95 per month isn’t much of an investment. For the amount of potential return you could generate, that’s one heck of a deal. If i went with something like this I would definitely get in on the on-demand one hour training… for $47? I would love to have hands on training, as that’s how I tend to learn best. To me, the things I look for are 1) Support and 2) Training….. and both of these blend into each other! You won’t become successful (at anything) If you don’t invest in the training. Great article though! Thanks for the quality content (:
